Answers to Online Reputation Management questions are often very nuanced, however, this one really isn’t – so we’ll say it straight away and up front.  The best choice of wordpress theme is one that is SEO optimized, it might seem like the answer would be more complicated, but it simply is not.  That makes this […]

6 Tools From Entrepreneur.com

Posted on September 3rd, 2016 by admin, No Comments »

This article from entrepreneur.com lists six different strategies for dealing with online reputation problems.  Here at Online Reputation Tracker, we would like to use our expertise to weigh in on this article — while there’s nothing wrong with using ANY of these tools to help manage how you look on the internet, and how you appear on search engines, in reality, these tools are not as effective for dealing with reputation problems as the article suggests.

For example, Hootsuite has tools for publishing and scheduling posts automatically in the future; managing posts, and dealing with their analytics.  But while there’s nothing wrong with using software to do that for you, those services in the end cannot really help you plan an effective Online Reputation Management campaign that will help suppress negative listings and content and drive them down in the rankings.  The software can only AUTOMATE that service for you, and in the end can only handle effectively about five percent of the workload, so we don’t recommend running out and purchasing hootsuite if you don’t have it already (if you do it can in fact help only a small amount, but it’s OK to use it).

The same is true of Naymz.com; while there’s nothing wrong with using that service if you already have any sort of connection with it, its ability to track analytics is not necessarily helpful for an Online Reputation Management campaign; those are about generating new content that is put together a certain way (or in other words, designed a certain way) that causes search engines to drive that content higher than negative content you would like to place on the “back pages” of search listings.

Articles such as this can be confusing, and that’s why if you have any questions, contacting an organization such as Hoplite can be very helpful.  They’re an Online Reputation Management Services company that are experts at generating positive content that can make your results shine on the internet. They can be a great resource when it comes to dealing with these problems quickly, and using the right techniques to do it.
